2.5 Cents Worth

My questions for the world.

OK, all you non-Canadians...

Other than those Americans who live near the border with their TV antennas at the ready, does anybody get Canadian television stations as part of a cable or satellite television package?

All my life I've watched American television (sometimes with Canadian commercials, thanks to the CRTC) but I'm guessing this influence doesn't have to go both ways. I watched a lot of Buffalo networks growing up, and am now starting to get onto Boston networks since we switched to satellite. I can watch a lot of CNN but do any non-Canadians watch CBC? I watch BBC Newsworld from time to time, used to watch TV5 from France before it was pulled from the cable lineup, and I wonder... who watches Canadian television besides people in Canada?

1 cents with some comments:

let me be the first person to comment on your blog...but seeing that u havent posted anything for like 3 months u may never know about this comment.

Strangely, as whacky as that question is, it actually got me thinking...seeing that i'm in South Africa, does anyone out in the world catch our channels???

Yes i know, i know, this is about Canadian Television and NOT about African Tel. So to answer your quest (well at least from a South African point of view) - no we do not get Canadian TV

We do however get French, American, Middle Eastern, Indian, Chinese, Italian and Greek Channels - but no CANADIAN CHANNELS...well except for a few yrs back when we had the series "DUE SOUTH" which if i'm not mistaken was a canadian production.

Anyway hope that helped u. :)))))
